With over 10 years' experience Dr Slaine is a trusted and accomplished Cosmetic Dentist. Known for her expertise in minimally invasive smile makeovers, with an eye for structure and order, she focusses on creating beautiful and natural smiles. Slaine is now one of the leading cosmetic dentists in the country. She won Best Dentist in the under 35 category at the Dentistry Scotland Awards for her significant achievements in dentistry to date, and for continuing to exhibit 'passion, drive and attainment'.

She graduated from Dublin Dental School at Trinity College before spending two years in the Oral and Maxillofacial Unit at Galway University Hospital treating patients who had suffered from facial trauma and cancer.

Dr Slaine's career then took her to London where she cultivated her clinical skills and refined her eye for Cosmetic Dentistry in London's prestigious Harley Street. She spent 10 years in the capital city developing her passion for cosmetic dentistry before moving to Edinburgh to set up The Row. See her work on Instagram @slainesmiles.

Dr Martin has a special interest in restorative dentistry gained through completing his MSc in Advanced Restorative Dentistry at the University of Manchester. His passion for implant, restorative and cosmetic dentistry allows for a multidisciplinary approach to treating patients.

Dr Martin has a keen eye for detail and will carefully tailor his treatment plans to the end result is a beautiful, natural smile.

Dr Nirmal earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (with distinction) at Dundee Dental School. He then undertook further training in general practice, paediatric dentistry, restorative dentistry and oral & maxillofacial surgery before commencing specialty training in orthodontics at the Edinburgh Dental Institute and the Borders General Hospital.

As a specialist, he manages complex multidisciplinary cases including hypodontia, combined orthodontic-restorative, sleep apnoea and orthognathic treatment.

At The Row he treats patients of all ages but has a particular passion for early intervention in children to avoid the need for complex orthodontic treatment later in life.

Dr Nirmal is also an Honorary Clinical Tutor at Dundee Dental School and the College of Medicine and Dentistry in Birmingham.

Carol graduated with Honours from the University of Dundee in 1987 and worked in general practice for several years before returning to academia. She obtained a Master’s Degree in Endodontics at the University of Stellenbosch in 1998 and was appointed as a Lecturer in Endodontics at the University of Dundee where she completed her higher specialist training in Endodontics in 2004.

She is a Senior Lecturer Honorary Consultant at the University of Dundee where she is the lead for undergraduate endodontic teaching and the lead for a well-respected clinical Masters in Endodontics programme which she started in 2016.

Carol is a previous council member of the British Endodontic Society and an Opinion Leader for Dentsplysirona. She is the Director of the Membership and Engagement Group at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and a member of the Dental Executive Group. She has taught and examined widely throughout the UK and internationally and has recently been appointed as Deputy Lead Examiner for the endodontic specialist exit examination at the Royal College of Surgeons England and is postgraduate external examiner for the University of Birmingham and University of Edinburgh. She has recently been appointed as Chair of the Dentsplysirona PEERS Endodontic Community with a role of delivering endodontic educational study groups and conferences.

Dr Duncan is a graduate of Glasgow Dental School with a specialist interest in Implantology. After graduating he completed his membership exams to the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. He has a Diploma in dental implants from the University of Newcastle, placing top of his year and achieving Honours.

Dr Duncan has a keen interest in both the placement and restoration of dental implants. He has extensive experience dealing with anxious patients and offers “sleep” sedation dentistry. Dr Duncan’s calming, friendly and cheerful nature helps put patients at ease. He ensures every patient receives a tailored treatment plan that meets their every need.

Dr Duncan has also worked in Maxillofacial surgical departments in Scotland where he helped treat patients with facial trauma and has undertaken senior house officer jobs in restorative dentistry.

In his spare time, Duncan is a keen surfer, skier and golfer.

Sophie has been working as a dental therapist since graduating from the University of Dundee with Distinction in 2015. She has been working in private practice establishing excellent relationships with her patients, guiding them in the prevention and treatment of gum disease and tooth decay.

At the Row Sophie uses ‘Guided Biofilm Therapy’ (GBT), an advanced procedure which uses warm water and fine powder under gentle air pressure to remove stains and plaque with maximum patient comfort.

Sophie understands the importance of preventive dentistry, and in cases where irreversible damage has occurred, her patients are treated and educated on how to best maintain their oral health to prevent further damage. Her enthusiasm for preventive dentistry is contagious and her patients find her energy highly motivational.

Kat qualified as a dental nurse in 2021 and but soon realised her passion lay in guiding patients through their smile journey. Her calm demeanour will make you feel at ease, and her extensive knowledge will provide the necessary information to understand the treatment options available to you.

In her spare time she enjoys taking her border collie, Casey, on long walks.
